Das Labyrinthbläschen, Vesicula auditiva, steht durch einen kurzen Gang noch mit dem Ektoderm in Verbindung. Die Öffnung im Ektoderm ist noch nicht geschlossen. Der kurze Gang, Recessus labyrinthi, wird später Ductus endolymphaticus. Die Verbindungsstelle mit dem Ektoderm ist äußerlich als flaches Grübchen erkennbar. Der Gang senkt sich in das Bläschen nahe dem oberen Ende ein. Das Bläschen erstreckt sich mit seiner medialen Wand bis an das Rautenhirn.
