Human Ovarian Follicle Basement Membrane

Basement Membrane (BM) in early stage follicles (primordial, early primary, primary and secondary) in human ovarian tissue.

  • A - Histology showed an extracellular BM (white arrows)
  • B - Collagen IV (green) expression in the BM (green arrows)
  • C - Laminin (green) expression in the BM (green arrows)
  • D - Fibronectin (green) expression in the mesenchymal compartment of the ovarian cortex. Sporadically fibronectin expression in the BM of secondary follicles (green arrow).

Scalebar 25 μm.
