Cell division - Three Types
- Binary fission - prokaryotes (bacteria). Note this form of division also occurs in the eukaryotic organelle the mitochondria.
- Meiosis - eukaryotes only in germ cell production.
- Mitosis - eukaryotes cell division in all other cells.
