Erich Blechschmidt (1904 – 1992) was a German embryologist who developed a unique collection of 64 human embryo models housed in the Institute of Anatomy at the University of Göttingen. He was director of Göttingen University's Anatomical Institute from 1942 until 1973.

Erich Blechschmidt (1904 – 1992) was a German embryologist who developed a unique collection of 64 human embryo models housed in the Institute of Anatomy at the University of Göttingen. He was director of Göttingen University's Anatomical Institute from 1942 until 1973.
