Dr Beaumont leads the Melanoma Cell Biology group at the Centenary Institute and is currently focused on investigating the mechanisms underlying melanoma progression and metastasis. In her studies she utilizes a 3D melanoma spheroid model, which better mimics the tumour microenvironment compared to conventional 2D cell culture models, as well as mouse models. Dr Beaumont specialises in live, confocal and multi photon microscopy.
