Following fertilization the first two weeks the implanted conceptus now begins to develop both embryonic cell layers and an early placenta.
This lecture will cover the early development of the ectoderm layer of the trilaminar embryo. Note that we will be returning to discuss both neural (central nervous system; brain and spinal cord) and neural crest (peripheral nervous system; sensory and sympathetic ganglia) development later in teh current course.

Ectoderm Development

Introduction

This lecture will cover the early development of the ectoderm layer of the trilaminar embryo.
