--Mark Hill 16:05, 6 November 2009 (EST) Hi Phoebe, are you reading my comments on the various discussion pages? Still too many words. Try and distill the essence, these are not essays, if you feel you have more to say we can always add a detailed text based page(s).

  • Now a short quiz at the bottom of a page will test the students knowledge ...... and also decide where to next.
  • Fetal not foetal please.
  • Where are we with the Medical student test of the site? You are running out of time for this.

MH - I will always add my new comments at the top of this current page, so you do not have to scroll down.

--Mark Hill 13:39, 28 October 2009 (EST) Uploaded all new animations today. Still too much text, simplify and clarify and you still had typos in the very first page! This suggests to the reader a lack of editorial review and poor design. I have made a few initial changes which I think improve text and layout. Ditch the colons and replace with dashes. You still need to sort out Intermediate lateral views and where the additional animation lives. You might also think of adding a help page for more detailed navigation and content information. And use the current page as a better introduction to the topic.

"Most of cardiac development occurs between weeks 4 and 8 of embryonic development. Few developments occur after this time, with some exceptions such as valve remodelling. Abnormalities in cardiovascular development are responsible for approximately 20% of birth defects. Hence as the earliest and one of the most clinically significant systems to form, cardiac development represents an important area of both embryological and clinical studies."

This is not the way to introduce your project. Try again.

"Many of the concepts taught in embryology are best represented with animations or diagrams. The animations in this module are played using Adobe Flash Player. Most of the pictures appear on the unit pages as thumbnails. To see the images more clearly, simply click on the picture which will take you to the original sized version. To return to the module simply click the back button in your browser window."

fix this too.

--Phoebe Norville 11:57, 10 September 2009 (EST) Added advanced module links

--Mark Hill 10:11, 7 September 2009 (EST) Looks like a plan. I have added module links, basic and intermediate to your table below. I would like you to add the advanced links.

--Phoebe Norville 13:21, 3 September 2009 (EST) Here is a rough timetable for how I plan to proceed with the module content.

--Mark Hill 08:55, 2 September 2009 (EST) I have added some searches to a few discussion pages.Talk:Advanced_-_Heart_Fields | Talk:Advanced_-_Heart_Tubes Have a look at the code and add your own searches to all the discussion pages, this should help find current research in the advanced and other sections.

--Mark Hill 17:15, 1 September 2009 (EST) I make the project as it stands a minimum of 20 module pages (introduction, 3 basic, 7 intermediate, 9 detailed) and there may be additional supplementary pages (quizzes, etc) that you may wish to also have in the final project. I suggest you begin by pasting your thoughts on each module page content on the page discussion tab. Always remember, we are going for visual and interesting rather than great slabs of text. Try and get a "feel" that extends through the module pages in terms of layout, diagrams etc.

--Mark Hill 16:21, 26 August 2009 (EST) As this is the main introductory page it should have information about what the student should do and how to navigate. You may want to include a link to a more detailed page explaining content, navigation and online knowledge assessment. I have also begun populating the project modules with blank template pages and navigation menus. These are by no means what the final pages will look like and I have used Templates extensively so that you can do global edits of appearance. I think you will need to keep the Basic - , Intermediate - and Advanced - as part of the page titles. You may also want to see how your layouts look to see whether each module page may be broken into smaller chunks or pages to minimise scrolling. Try and keep text down and make the pages "interesting" by being clever with the appearance.
