Vitamin D3.Synthesis

Vitamin D is produced in the skin from 7-dehydrocholesterol in a photoreaction induced by ultraviolet B (UVB) radiation from the sun. Previtamin D3 is thermodynamically unstable and quickly rearranges its double bonds to form the thermodynamically stable vitamin D3.
