(Stain - Haematoxylin Eosin)


Serous cells form small half-moon (demilune) or crescent-shaped structures

Empty their secretory product into interstices between the mucus-producing cell

Attach to mucus producing acini

compound or mixed acini


Demilunes - Crescents of Giannuzzi or Demilunes of Heidenhain
