Ovarian Follicle - Theca and Granulosa Layers

FCS follicles: theca cells. A thin theca cell layer (TL) is observable by SEM around the granulosa layer (GL) in panel a.

Theca cells (TC) forming one or two-three layers are seen by TEM in panels b, c. Panels b, c, GC: granulosa cells; b: basement membrane.
