MLPA_of_TDR.jpeg(600 × 450 pixels, file size: 20 KB, MIME type: image/jpeg)

This image shows a detailed map of the distal typically deleted region (TDR) in chromosome 22q11.2. The MLPA probes are shown in blue font, with STR (Short Tandem Repeats) shown in black and SNP (single nucleotide polymorphisms) in grey font. This detailed map is hence a compilation of information obtained using a variety of imaging techniques (not just MLPA). The advent of these technologies has greatly enhanced our ability to visualise and decoded this particular chromosome and the disorders associated.
