An Feten des 9. — 10. Monats finden sich 6 Hauptfurchen, welche nach dem Keilbeinwinkel zu konvergieren. Zwischen diesen Hauptfurchen ragen die 6 Hauptmuscheln hervor, den Rinnen entsprechend. Die Nasenhöhle ist also, was die Muscheln betrifft, bei dem Fetus komplizierter gebaut als bei dem Erwach- senen. Es finden Rückbildungen statt.
