A human ovum of approximately 16.5 days of age. The chorionic villi are still simple, unbranched structures. The chorionic cavity contains a normally-situated embryo, the details of which are seen in fig. 5B. No trace of the exocoelomic membrane remains. Carnegie 7802, section 44-3-5, X30.
