Gastroschisis

gastroschisis is a birth defect of the abdominal wall. While it is a form of musculoskeletal abnormalities, the major impact is upon the viscera (intestine) of the gastrointestinal system.

Gastroschisis is a congenital abdominal wall defect characterized by viscera protruding, without a covering sac, from the fetal abdomen on the right lateral base of the umbilicus.
