These processes are stained deeply with haematoxylin and they stand out in sharp contrast with the clear cavity in which they lie (Fig.4).The smooth inner surface of the blastocyst is lined with primary mesoderm, and inside this there is the exocoelomic vesicle (Heuser, 1938) enclosed by the exocoelomic membrane (Heuser's membrane).
