  • Leg traction is done by holding the leg by the ankle.
  • The leg is pulled upward until the buttock starts to be lifted off the mat.
  • The knee should maintain a flexed angle.
  • Full extension of the knee with little resistance to pulling on the leg is a sign of hypotonia.
