Lymphatic Vasculature Organization cartoon

Exchange between vasculature to tissues occurs in the capillary plexuses in tissues.

  • Arterial vasculature - supplies nutrition, oxygen, fluid and cells to tissues.
  • Venous vasculature - removes waste, carbon dioxide, fluid and cells from tissues.
  • Lymphatic vasculature - resorbs fluid, macromolecules, and cells from the interstitium.
