Bone Marrow Histology

Myeloblast

  • myeloblast appear similar to pro erythroblast.
  • proliferate to generate promyelocytes.
  • promyelocytes accumulate nonspecific granules.
  • promyelocyte forms myelocyte.
    • promyelocyte can divide, myelocyte cannot divide.


Myelocyte

  • intermediate stage in the development of all three types of granulocytes.
  • myelocyte accumulate specific granules and changes in nuclear shape (morphology).
  • metamyelocytes have a C-shaped nucleus will form next the "Band cells".
