TEXT
Wolff (1980)
comprehensively reviewed 17 reports dealing with
familial congenital diaphragmatic hernia and
concluded that multifactorial inheritance is most
likely. A similar conclusion, with an observed high
male:female sex ratio, was suggested by Norio
et al. (1984). Narayan et
al. (1993) described congenital diaphragmatic
hernia in a brother and sister and in a male first
cousin. See the discussion of unilateral agenesis
of the diaphragm in 222400.
