A B show details of developing ovary. Note the position of the ovary (lying below the developing kidney) in relation to the degeneration mesonephros. The ovary is also attached by its mesentry to the posterior wall of the peritoneal cavity

C D show the developing uterus (paramesonephric duct) and vagina and genital tubercle. Note the position of the uterus lying between the bladder and rectum with associated pouches.
