Introduction
This page lists the slide sets used in teaching
Histology to undergraduate Medical and Science
Students in the School of Anatomy. Note that the
overall composition of slide sets will change with
time. These slides are used to show both developing
and adult tissues using typical histological
stains. Additional demonstration slides are used in
classes. Slides should be viewed in relation to the
types of tissues that are developing in the
embryo.
Each section of Notes on page 5 has a list of
relevant slides to that system. No attempt has been
made in this current Program to give full
histological descriptions of slides. Many
Universities have also begun to list some histology
slides with descriptions (see WWW
Links).
The School of Anatomy UNSW has an excellent
Histology Program under development "The Fabric
of Life", for more details contact Dr B.
Freeman.
